What is Founder's Bud?
A commitment device. You declare one test, one number, and one date (14 days out, at most). It locks and publishes the moment you confirm. On the date, the outcome publishes on its own — pass or fail — whether or not you do anything.
How does that actually help me build?
A soft deadline gets renegotiated — quietly, with yourself, until it’s gone. A public one that settles itself can’t be, so you stop. The work gets an edge it didn’t have: the thing gets built by the date, or it doesn’t and you know which. Either way it’s on your record — and a record of what you did beats another plan for what you might.
How does a commitment resolve?
On the date, a scheduled job publishes the outcome. Silence resolves to failed. A pass is self-reported: before the deadline you enter the number you reached, and it passes only if that number meets your target. After the deadline the commitment belongs to the resolver — there is no late pass.
Can I edit, reschedule, or extend a commitment?
No. There is no edit button and no extension — not for illness, travel, or a hard bug. The open, movable deadline is the disease being treated. If you could move it, the product would do nothing.
What stops someone from lying about a pass?
Nothing verifies the number. Your public page and your track record are the only checks — and they are enough. Inflated targets and quiet sandbagging show on the record. This is honor-system by design, on the pass side only; the resolver can still manufacture a failure from silence.
What are witnesses?
People you name when you declare (up to five). They're emailed the commitment now and the outcome on the date. Nothing for them to do — the result is sent automatically. It's the cohort watching.
Is my email ever public?
No. Public pages expose your handle, test, number, date, and outcome — nothing else. Never your email.
How do people find my page?
Through the public record — every filed commitment across all founders, newest first, searchable by handle or by the text of the test. It's a record, not a feed: recency only, no reactions or follows.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, in settings — a hard delete of everything you filed. But not while you have an open commitment. You can leave; you can't leave to dodge a live verdict.
Do you give advice, roadmaps, or templates?
No. No AI advice, no coaching, no roadmaps, no templates, no nudges. The product never tells you what to do next. That's the commoditized category it exists to not be.
